Monday, August 5, 2019   What Drives the U.S. to Bomb Cities? Beside the enormous difference in the respective scale of death and destruction of "Mass Shootings" and the bombing of cities, what is the political difference between them? Bombing cities, or the threat to do so, is an essential component of U.S. sovereignty. It is the cornerstone of "full-spectrum dominance" and is used to achieve the foreign policy objectives of the U.S. "Mass Shootings" are irrelevant to those objectives. The Times is part of the U.S. propaganda apparatus and it would be counterproductive for it to raise questions about an essential component of its government's sovereignty. "Mass Shootings" are irrelevant to U.S. sovereignty and thus the propaganda apparatus is permitted to "care" about them in the interest of burnishing its image as humanitarian.
