The poster on the left was produced during the Third Reich, most likely for the influx of foreign visitors, evidenced by the English text, expected for the 1936 Olympic Games which were held in a Berlin stadium built for the purpose.
The poster radiates stability both protected by and ruled over by the Nazi party as represented by a watchful, easily provoked, cruel and merciless bird of prey. Coincidentally, this bird is the American eagle.
Given the tremendous shift in the balance of power in the United States away from the individual and toward the state and within the state, away from the legislative and judicial branches to the executive, since 9-11-01, it seemed to me that this poster could easily represent the US as well.
