Tallulah Bankhead, (1902-1968).

My drawing.

I recently saw the 1943 Hitchcock movie Lifeboat, which starred Tallulah Bankhead. I found the portrait of her shown on the left and decided to copy it using my drawing program (CorelDraw 11). Things didn't go too badly until I got to the hair. Disaster 1: I wound up making it black. Disaster 2 was the wrinkles in her dress, not to mention that her face is a shade darker than her neck.

The result, which is almost enough to make me give up trying to draw people on a computer, is on the right.
